The Crocodile Café has new owners who are applying for a liquor license but there is no word if the venue would be a live venue if it reopens.
Marcus Charles, who has formed a limited partnership with Sheila Charles, is owner of the Bad Juju, a bar on the same block, according to the Seattle Times.
It is roughly a two-month approval process for the license. The 525-capacity Croc opened during the grunge era and hosted Nirvana, Modest Mouse and Death Cab For Cutie, among others.
It shuttered without notice in December.
