Question: Fans of the ’60s space opera “Lost in Space” know the Robinson’s spacecraft was named “Jupiter Two,” but what ever became of Jupiter One? Answer: Jupiter One became a Brooklyn, New York rock band that has dates from here to Alpha Centauri. Or pretty gosh darn near. New listings for the band include September 11 in Lakewood, Ohio at the Hi-Fi Concert Club, September 13 in Cincinnati at The Mad Frog, Detroit on September 15 at Lager House and Chicago on September 16 at Martyrs’. Other stops include Lexington (Kentucky), Marquette (Michigan) and Utica (New York).
Singer / songwriter Matt Nathanson firms up his October and November road plans with new club and theatre listings throughout the United States. Particulars include Pittsburgh on October 1 at Rex Theatre, NYC on October 2 at Nokia Theatre Times Square, Boston on October 12 at Water St. Music Hall and Houston on October 23 at Scout Bar. Other cities on the schedule include Philadelphia, Hartford, Rochester, Atlanta, Nashville, Orlando, Dallas, Austin, Phoenix, San Diego, Los Angeles, Seattle and Boise.
Dolly Parton fills in a few openings on her schedule. New dates include Richmond, Kentucky on October 25 at Brock Auditorium, Providence, Rhode Island on November 1 at Providence Performing Arts Center and Mashantucket, Connecticut at MGM Grand Theater.
Finally, Euro listings for The Lemonheads landed our loading dock this morning. New ones include September 22 in Amsterdam, September 28 in Malmo and September 30 in Stockholm.
