Picket At The Palladium

The Live Nation-operated Hollywood Palladium was the scene of an IATSE picket as about 60 members marched in front of the Los Angeles venue August 6.

Local 33 Stagehands demand that a provision requiring "good middle class jobs" at the site not be waived from a possible $2.5 million Community Development Agency renovation grant.

The Palladium, scheduled to reopen in November, is owned by Newport Capital Advisors and leased to Live Nation.

The L.A County Federation of Labor issued a statement saying the picket got the attention of Live Nation execs, who reportedly agreed to meet with union reps to discuss the issue.

Live Nation had no comment on the IATSE press release.
