No Cancer, No Treatment For Merle
Country crooner Merle Haggard says a spot detected on his lung is not cancerous and he will not be seeking treatment for it.
Haggard, who’s currently on an East Coast and Canadian tour, told the Bakersfield Californian that doctors discovered the lung problem on May 5.
But he says blood tests have turned up nothing, the spot has not changed and that he’s “not gonna do anything” about it.
Haggard has penned 38 No. 1 hits, including “Oakie from Muskogee” and received a Lifetime Achievement Grammy in 2006 from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
