Camper Dies At moe.down

A Utica, N.Y., man died August 30 in the campground area of the annual moe.down festival at Snow Ridge Ski Resort near Turin, N.Y.

Campers found David Laribee unresponsive and called for medical assistance at about 12:40 a.m., according to the Utica Observer-Dispatch. He was taken by ambulance to Lewis County General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The cause of death has not been determined and foul play is not suspected. Toxicology test results are pending.

The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office said Laribee was not carrying I.D., delaying identification and notification of relatives.
