The group will warm up for the trek with a month-long swing through Germany with stops in Offenbach, Hamburg, Munich and Cologne, and the U.K., stopping in Southampton, London, Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle, Sheffield, Bristol and Birmingham.

OneRepublic, which blew up last year after its single “Apologize” was featured on Timbaland’s album Shock Value, will launch the Tag This Tour! October 23 at Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va., with Augustana, The Spill Canvas and The Hush Sound along for support.

Other destinations include Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pa. (October 24), Congress Theater in Chicago (October 30), Uptown Theater in Kansas City, Mo. (November 5), River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond, British Columbia (November 10), Nob Hill Masonic Center in San Francisco (November 14), House of Blues in Dallas (November 18), The Tabernacle in Atlanta (November 22), Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City (November 26), E.J. Thomas Hall in Akron, Ohio (December 1), and Metropolis in Montreal (December 6).

Frontman Tedder hinted there will be some special contests connected with social networking between fans and the band, but gave few details.

“We wanted to do something for the fans to let everyone be involved with the tour,” Tedder said. “We can’t let on just yet what’s in store but we wanted our fans to be prepared to have some fun with it.”
