Aguilera’s Music On Target

Fans wanting to get their hands on Christina Aguilera’s greatest hits CD, Keep Gettin’ Better – A Decade of Hits, will have to make their way over to their local Target.

The collection will be released exclusively at the retailer November 11 and include two new songs as well as re-recorded versions of “Genie in a Bottle” and “Beautiful.”

“I can’t believe it’s been over 10 years since my first album and it was really exciting to put all of my favorite songs in one collection for my fans,” Aguilera said in a statement.

Target also had the exclusive on John Legend’s January release, Live from Philadelphia, as well as special edition albums by artists including Alicia Keys and Carrie Underwood.

Wal-Mart has done well with its own exclusive deals with the Eagles, Journey and Garth Brooks. Eagles comeback album Long Road Out of Eden was the third-best selling CD of 2007, with 2.6 million copies sold.

AC/DC is the latest band to get on board, with its October release, Black Ice, available only at Wal-Mart, the retailer’s affiliated Sam’s Club and the band’s Web site.
