Short STP Show Draws Cops

Police called for backup at a short Stone Temple Pilots concert in Nampa, Idaho, September 5 after members of the crowd grew disruptive, but no incidents were reported.

STP began late and played a short set at the Idaho Center Amphitheatre, according to the Idaho Statesman. Nampa police summoned reinforcements after some audience members grew agitated, the paper said.

However, the disruptions ended and the crowd left peacefully, police spokesman Sgt. Matt Pavelek told the paper. Four or five Nampa officers were working the show.

“We just wanted to make sure that nothing went down, and if something happened, we had enough people to handle it,” Pavelek said.
