Brad Paisley gets an early jump on grabbing that Concert Industry Award for best 2009 tour with a mountain of dates for the first few months of next year. Stops include January 15 in Tupelo, Mississippi, at BancorpSouth Arena, June 18 in Pensacola, Florida, at Pensacola Civic Center, January 31 in Omaha, Nebraska, at Quest Center, February 12 in London, Ontario, at John Labatt Centre, February 21 in Calgary, Alberta, at Pengrowth Saddledome and March 1 in Yakima, Washington, at Yakima Valley SunDome. DevilDriver lines up club dates for October. New show listings include Boise, Idaho, at the Knitting Factory, October 25 in San Diego, California, at Brick By Brick, October 26 in Santa Barbara, California, at Velvet Jones and October 28 in San Francisco, California, at Grand Ballroom At Regency Center. The band also adds a couple of South Africa dates – November 7 in Durban and November 8 in Cape Town.
Evidently Scott Weiland just can’t get enough of the road. Mr. Weiland’s solo tour is slotted for November and December. Playing mostly clubs, dates include March 11 in North Kansas City at Voodoo Lounge/Harrah’s North Kansas City, November 14 in Chicago at Metro / Smart Bar, November 15 in Detroit at St. Andrews Hall, November 23 in Norfolk, Virginia, at the NorVa and December 4 in San Francisco at Grand Ballroom At Regency Center.
And Franz Ferdinand tears up Europe come November. Stops include Paris on November 13, Stockholm on November 15, Warsaw on November 19, Milan on November 21 and Rotterdam on November 27.
