Global Spectrum Goes To Europe

Facility manager Global Spectrum is no longer just a North American company, announcing September 16 it has made a collaborative agreement with British firm NEC Group Birmingham that will expand Global Spectrum’s reach into Europe.

The collaboration, Global Spectrum Europe, will be offered as a facility management solution to stadiums, arenas, PACs, exhibition centers and theatres throughout Europe, according to a statement.

Global Spectrum, a subsidiary of Comcast-Spectacor, manages the Wachovia Complex in Philadelphia, the University of Phoenix Stadium, the Premiere Park in Singapore and a host of other buildings.

“This is truly a very exciting time for Global Spectrum and Comcast-Spectacor as we further expand internationally,” Global Spectrum Chairman Peter Luukko said in a statement. “We have a wonderful partner in NEC and, working closely together, we are confident that Global Spectrum Europe will quickly grow into a major player in the management of public assembly facilities throughout the continent.”

Phil Mead director of arenas at the NEC Group, noted NEC Group is the industry leaders in venue management in England with five venues and 30 years experience in the industry.
