Pinnacle Withdraws Casino Bid
Pinnacle Entertainment has withdrawn its application to manage a state-run casino in Wyandotte County, Kansas.
Kansas Lottery confirmed that Pinnacle notified the agency by letter and e-mail Sep. 16 but gave no reason for its decision.
He said Pinnacle will get back a $25 million fee it paid when it signed a contract in May.
That leaves three candidates: Legends Sun, Golden Gaming and Kansas Entertainment, which includes Kansas Speedway.
The Lottery Gaming Facility Review Board was expected to pick a plan Sept. 19.
