It’s Australia in November and the United Kingdom in January for Bloc Party. New Aussie dates include November 20 in West Melbourne at Festival Hall, November 23 in Adelaide at Thebarton Theatre, November 25 in Moore Park at Hordern Pavilion and November 28 in Brisbane at River Stage. U.K. dates include a two-nighter in Glasgow – January 25 & 26 – at Carling Academy, two nights in Wolverhampton – January 31 & February 1 – at the Civic Hall and sandwiched in between is a Manchester show at the Apollo on January 28.
As mentioned, Jim Brickman travels to Bangkok for shows on November 2 & 3 (venue TBA). Other new listings for the pianist include December 3 in Logan, Utah, at Ellen Eccles Theatre, December 6 in Springfield, Missouri, at Juanita K. Hammons Hall For The Perf. Arts, December 14 in Indianapolis at Clowes Memorial Hall and two nights in Boston – December 27 & 28 – at Cutler Majestic Theatre. Other newly added cities on the Brickman trek include South Bend, Green Bay, Kalamazoo, Madison, Omaha, Pittsburgh, Wilmington and just about everywhere pianos are loved and cherished.
Swedish star Lykke Li plays the U.K. in October and the continent in December. U.K. dates include Bristol on October 6 at Thekla, Edinburgh on October 9 at Cabaret Voltaire and York on October 10 at Duchess. New dates for across the channel include Oslo at John Dee on December 10, Copenhagen at VEGA on December 11 and Stockholm on December 12 at Kagelbanan.
And STS9 (Sound Tribe Sector 9) plays Atlanta’s Tabernacle in the nights leading up to, and including, New Year’s Eve. Date span is December 28 – 31.
