The Brass Tacks Tour kicks off October 8 at Georgia Theatre in Athens, Ga., and wraps November 12 at House of Blues in West Hollywood, Calif.

In between the band will drop in on places like Theatre of the Living Arts in Philadelphia (October 10), Higher Ground in South Burlington, Vt. (October 14), Fillmore New York at Irving Plaza in New York City (October 17-18), Variety Playhouse in Atlanta (October 25), Tipitina’s Uptown in New Orleans (October 31-November 1) and McMenamins Crystal Ballroom in Portland, Ore. (November 8).

Galactic will be accompanied on the trek by Crown City Rockers and joined onstage by a horn section made up of Shamarr Allen and Corey Henry.

The band is also scheduled to set sail again on the Jam Cruise 7, which departs from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., January 4 for a six-day voyage through the Caribbean with stops in Belize City, Belize, and Costa Maya, Mexico.
