“Due to a bereavement, The Fratellis have had to return to Scotland and therefore cancel the remaining five dates of their current U.S. tour,” the band said in a message to fans.

“We apologize whole-heartedly to our American fans who have bought tickets for the shows this week.”

Affected shows include tonight’s show at The Loft at Center Stage in Atlanta, October 1 at Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro, N.C., October 2 at 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C., October 3 at Orpheum Theatre in Boston and October 4 at Webster Theatre in Hartford, Conn.
