Coldplay Marches Into North America
Instead of sitting in a pool while the help feeds them grapes, the boys are preparing to go out on the second leg of their successful Viva La Vida Tour.
Chris Martin and company will kick off the trek October 20 at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa, ON, and drop in for an appearance on “Saturday Night Live” October 25. (Raise your hand if you’re hoping they put together an “It’s Pat!” sketch.)
Look for Coldplay to rock Wachovia Center in Philadelpia (November 1), BankAtlantic Center in Ft. Lauderdale (November 11), Toyota Center in Houston (November 18) and Honda Center in Anaheim (November 25).
Tickets for North American dates are available at LiveNation.com.
After the tour concludes November 26 in Glendale, Ariz., the band will return home and close out the year with a series of U.K. dates.
While fans are likely to sing along to every word Chris Martin utters during the tour, they’ll have some new lyrics to memorize when Coldplay’s Viva La Vida-Prospekt’s March arrives in stores November 25.
The two-disc deluxe package includes Viva La Viva, which charted at No. 1 in 36 countries, plus a new EP that features six new tracks, including “Lost +” with Jay-Z.
