Janet’s Tulsa Date OK

The Oct. 26 Janet Jackson show at the new BOK Center in Tulsa, Okla., was a go at press time after the ticket onsale was delayed for nearly a month.

The sale, expected to launch Sept. 8, was Oct. 4. Venue official Casey Sparks told Pollstar the sale was delayed because the original promoter, Ja-Tail Enterprises, backed out of the concert because it could not reach an agreement with Jackson’s management.

Live Nation, the principal promoter for the Jackson tour, stepped in to keep the date on the books. Ticket prices range from $41 to $127, and a VIP package is $250. A reserved four-pack is $99.

Jackson has postponed recent shows, citing an unknown illness.

Representatives said the singer became “suddenly ill” and was hospitalized Sept. 29 in Montreal shortly after she arrived for a show. Shows were canceled in Boston and Philadelphia, then postponed in Greensboro, N.C., Atlanta and Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
