Uncertain Chevy

General Motors will not renew its naming-rights agreement for the Chevrolet Centre in Youngstown, Ohio, but the venue name may not change.

GM paid $175,000 annually for three years to have Chevrolet on the signage of the 5,500-capacity facility, but GM elected to not renew the naming rights Sept. 30 citing declining revenue and a struggling economy, according to the Vindicator newspaper.

However, local Chevrolet dealers reportedly may soon sign a similar deal with the city that would keep the car manufacturer’s logo on display.
