O2 Rakes In Millions

Gary Barlow from Take That says it’s a beautiful place, Mel C from The Spice Girls reckons it’s the best venue in the world, Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody says it’s “fucking great” and punters seem to share their views.

Sometime during the week beginning Oct. 6, AEG expected to see London’s O2 Arena – which opened June 2007 – welcome its 10 millionth visitor.

The other acts to have played the 20,000-capacity venue include Prince, who did 21 nights, Kaiser Chiefs, Kylie Minogue, Metallica, Coldplay, The Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, Andrea Bocelli, the Eagles, Bruce Springsteen, Westlife, Barbra Streisand, Neil Diamond, Carlos Santana, Backstreet Boys, Girls Aloud, and Elton John.

Upcoming attractions include Queen, Kings Of Leon, Stevie Wonder, Barry Manilow, Tina Turner, Keane and The Killers.
