Rap Fan Can’t Face The Music
An Urbana University student told an Ohio judge he just couldn’t face the music when offered the chance to reduce a fine for blasting rap music on his car stereo.
Andrew Vactor was facing a $150 fine for the infraction, but a Champaign County Municipal Court judge offered to reduce it to $35 in exchange for listening to 20 hours of classical music.
A probation officer reported that Vactor lasted just 15 minutes before deciding to pony up the $150, but claimed it wasn’t because of the music. He just needed to be at basketball practice with the rest of the UU team.
“I didn’t have time to deal with that,” he said.
