Richard Joins Adrienne Arsht Center

M. John Richard was tapped to become the new president and CEO of the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County in Florida.

Richard has spent the last two decades with the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, including a stint as CEO and executive VP.

He replaces Lawrence Wilker, who has served in an interim capacity since November 2007.

“After 19 years at NJPAC, my decision to leave New Jersey was a difficult one, but I’m enthusiastic about taking on a new challenge at the Adrienne Arsht Center,” Richard said in a statement.

Before joining NJPAC, Richard was president and CEO of the Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation. He is also active in the Performing Arts Center Consortium North America.
