Def Leppard Cancels India

Def Leppard pulled out of its October tour of India.

The band was scheduled to play Bangalore Oct. 17 and Mumbai Oct. 19.

No reason was given for the cancellation, but the Times of India speculated that the show’s promoter, E-18, was “anxious about the safety of fans and the band in view of recent blasts and attacks on churches” in India.

The rest of the group’s Asia-Pacific tour, which includes Australia, New Zealand and Japan, is set to go ahead as planned.
