Reunion Arena Garage Sale

Dallas city officials have about $100,000 more to add to the city’s convention center budget thanks to an online auction of surplus equipment from the recently shuttered Reunion Arena.

Items on the block included a vintage 1980 Zamboni machine, player lockers, a photocopy machine, fire extinguishers, the arena’s basketball floor and turf used by the Dallas Sidekicks indoor soccer team, according to the Dallas Morning News.

The auction was so successful that city officials are talking about selling some more of the 28-year-old venue’s treasures before the building is torn down next year.
