Artists Snubbing McCain?
A Fox News story recently noted that, while Obama has Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, John Legend, Dave Matthews, Jay-Z and others doing benefits on his behalf, Sen. John McCain has yet to see support from rockers on the right.
“These days the only musicians Republicans can count on are either second-rate country artists or low-rent rock acts,” the article said. “Maybe the Democrats just have better parties.”
Although John Rich of Big & Rich sang his “Raisin’ McCain” anthem at the Republican National Convention, and Hank Williams Jr. has made a campaign rally appearance, Fox noted that GOPers like Kid Rock and Ted Nugent have yet to make appearances.
Rock was dropped from George W. Bush’s 2005 inauguration party and Nugent supported Mike Huckabee.
