Lil’ Wayne’s Aide Saw Pot

Lil’ Wayne’s assistant Terry Bourgeois reportedly admitted Oct. 20 at a pretrial hearing in the rapper’s gun possession case that he occasionally saw marijuana and a handgun on the hip-hop star’s tour bus.

Bourgeois previously testified he didn’t see Lil’ Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, with a gun and didn’t know if one was on board in July 2007 when police searched the tour bus.

A police officer testified last month she boarded the bus after a concert at NYC’s Beacon Theatre because she smelled marijuana. After boarding the vehicle, the officer allegedly saw Lil’ Wayne try to hide a gun.

However, defense lawyer Stacey Richman wants the charges dismissed, saying the police made up the marijuana story in order to board the bus.

Lil’ Wayne pleaded not guilty and is free on $70,000 bail.
