Aspen Goes Free

The Aspen Live Conference is becoming Aspen Free this year, as the annual confab scheduled Dec. 11-13 is waiving registration, plus inviting brands and their agencies to the party, organizer Jim Lewi told Pollstar.

In years past, the exclusive Aspen Live meeting has been limited to 200 registrants and cost $1,000 per ticket. Lewi, now with The Agency Group Events & Entertainment, decided it was “a good time to get everyone thinking differently about everything, including money.”

“Waiving registration was one way of showing the industry that we were willing to try new things,” Lewi said. “Inviting folks from the brand world is our company’s mission to get people to buy in to our concept of Branded Live Entertainment vs. Sponsorship.”

Aspen Live speakers, which in the past have included filmmaker Michael Moore, author Malcolm Gladwell and marketing gurus Seth Godin, Sergio Zyman and Al Ries, will be announced along with the conference schedule as the meeting approaches.
