“Billy and I will go out next year for at least two years on and off, all over the world,” John announced on ABC TV’s “The View” Nov. 11, according to Eltonjohn.com. “It’s something I’ve looked forward to for a long time. I love touring with him – we’re both such good friends.”

John’s Web site reported the tour will kick off in March with soon-to-be announced dates across the southern states and West Coast and then continues in May and later 2009 for more U.S. shows. In 2010 the duo will cover more North American territory and then the tour goes international.

A portion of the tickets from each Elton John/Billy Joel show will be set aside as Rocket tickets, which are available for purchase to Rocket Club members. These may be available even if the show is listed as “sold out” – and the seats aren’t anything to sneeze at.

In order to purchase tickets on the first day of any Rocket Club sale, Eltonjohn.com recommends fans sign up to be a member at least 24 hours in advance.
