Court spokeswoman Esther McElhaney said the court would issue a summons for Knight and set an arraignment date after processing the complaint by the Clark County District Attorney’s office.

The hip-hop mogul was arrested in August after officers saw him beat his girlfriend and brandish a knife in a parking lot near the Las Vegas Strip.

According to the complaint, Knight had Ecstasy and hydrocodone on him when he was arrested.

Although the woman wasn’t stabbed, she was treated at a hospital for injuries.

Knight was released from jail after posting $19,000 bail.

After selling tens of million of albums by Tupac Shakur, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, Death Row Records was taken over by a bankruptcy trustee in 2006 and then auctioned for $24 million to New York-based Global Music Group Inc. in June.
