Bird Meets Carnegie
Andrew Bird’s Noble Beast drops Jan. 27 and he’s presenting the music in grand style, kicking off the supporting tour the very next night at Carnegie Hall.
The tour hits Boston’s Orpheum Theatre Jan. 30 and travels East to West before wrapping in Omaha Feb. 27.
Bird is known for his ability to enrapture audiences with his mastery of the violin and other stringed instruments as well as for an exceptional ability to turn whistling into a musical instrument. But Bird has also built a reputation for his strong vocals and songwriting skills.
He was known shortly as the leader of the Squirrel Nut Zippers but has shed that staple over the past 10 years playing solo or as Andrew Bird’s Bowl of Fire.
