Mariah Carey To Host Grammy Noms
The Grammy Awards nomination ceremony gets its own hour-long TV special Dec. 3, with Mariah Carey joining hosts LL Cool J and Taylor Swift as well a musical lineup that includes Celine Dion, Foo Fighters, B.B. King and John Mayer.
Not just an opening of envelopes and reading of names during the early morning network chat shows, this year’s ceremony requires a prime-time special to celebrate the opening of the Grammy Museum at L.A. Live. The show, which originates from the adjacent Nokia Theatre at L.A. Live, will air on CBS Dec. 3 at 9 p.m.
The special marks the first time noms for the Grammy-fest will be announced live on prime-time TV. Following the live broadcast, guests will be treated to a one-hour concert by one of the show’s performers
The 51st annual Grammy Awards ceremony will be broadcast Feb 8. Tickets for the nomination show and concert are available at Ticketmaster.com.
