Holt Tapped For MySpace Music

Courtney Holt has been named president of MySpace Music and will take over his new duties in Los Angeles Jan. 5.

The industry vet will work with MySpace co-founder and CEO Chris DeWolfe to coordinate strategies for the new joint venture with EMI, Universal, Sony and Warner labels, according to a press release.

Holt previously was executive VP of digital music for MTV Networks Music and Logo Group as well as senior VP of new media, creative and strategic marketing at Interscope / Geffen / A&M.
