The Blur reunion, which has been major news in the U.K. papers, appears certain and will also include a July 3 show at London’s Hyde Park, a co-promotion between Metropolis Music and Live Nation.

Damon Albarn will join Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree onstage for the first time since Blur’s Royal Festival Hall performance in 2000.

Formed in Colchester in 1989, Blur rode the crest of the Britpop wave and recorded seven studio albums. The band had a string of Top 10 singles including No. 1 hits with “Country House” and “Beetlebum.”
