Braxton’s Tumor Scare
Toni Braxton sat out the recent “Dancing With The Stars” finale for good reason – the singer recently had a benign lump removed from her breast.
Braxton told Us Weekly that she knew she had a tumor prior to appearing on the popular televised ballroom dance program, but went ahead with the competition.

She was eliminated from the show Oct. 20, and said she scheduled a follow-up appointment with her doctor, who found the lump “was definitely still there and bigger.”
Tests proved the lump was benign.
“Getting the boot on the show was actually a blessing in disguise for me,” Braxton told the magazine. “My grandmother on my dad’s side died of breast cancer, and I have aunts on both sides that have breast cancer.”
Braxton reportedly is strapping on her dancing shoes for the upcoming “Dancing With the Stars” tour that gets underway Dec. 17 in San Diego.
