Kweller Gears Up
The completion of Changing Horses, a country album, is said to be a realization of a long-held goal for Kweller, who recently relocated to his native Texas.
“I’ve been working on Horses for years,” he said in a statement. “I wrote the first song when I was 16. Over time, I’ve collected these songs that fit together and wanted to release them together.
“I didn’t want to try and fit them on my other albums one or two at a time.”
The trek kicks off Feb. 16 at the Slowdown in Omaha, Neb., and includes stops at Turner Hall in Milwaukee (Feb. 18), Case Western Reserve U in Cleveland (Feb. 21), The Mod Club Theatre in Toronto, Ontario (Feb. 22), the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. (Feb. 26), Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro, N.C. (March 1), Mercy Lounge in Nashville (March 4) and wraps at Workplay Theatre in Birmingham, Ala., March 6.
