Chuck Berry, doesn’t need glitz and glamour to prove he’s the man at ‘s Westbury Music Fair in New York.
The one-story home in St. Louis’ Ville neighborhood was purchased by Berry and his wife in 1950.
During the eight years the couple lived there, the musician wrote many of his classic hits including “Johnny B. Goode,” “Roll Over Beethoven” and “Sweet Little Sixteen.”
The addition of Berry’s former home to the National Register is unusually noteworthy because he is still alive.
