Eagles Of Death Metal Soar

Queens Of The Stone Age may be taking a break but that’s not the case for frontman Josh Homme, who, along with musical compadre Jesse Hughes, has added more dates for Eagles Of Death Metal.

EODM are visiting Paris and Berlin in January, then it’s off to the Belly Up Tavern in Solano Beach, Calif., come Feb. 3. There’s stops in Hollywood, San Francisco, Reno, Sin City, Little Rock and a whole bunch of other places before the band reaches Toronto’s Phoenix Concert Theatre Feb. 20.

Then it’s back to Europe eight days later, playing Brussels. All of March and the early part of April are overseas dates.

This isn’t a “side project” for the Queens frontman. Homme has played in both bands since the late ’90s but the popularity of Queens has overshadowed this project.

Homme goes by “Baby Duck” and/or “Carlo Von Sexron” in EODM and Hughes answers to “The Devil” and “Boots Electric.” They’re continuing to support Heart On, which includes, among other artists, a cameo by tattoo queen Miss Kat Von D.

The Eagles of Death Metal are expected to play the Tonight Show Jan. 9.
