The news began to trickle out on various music and foodie blogs, complete with photos of liquor license applications at such venues as The Fillmore at Irving Plaza in New York, and reports in local media such as Cincinnati Business Courier.

“We have outsourced our food and beverage in our owned theaters and clubs to Wolfgang Puck Catering,” Live Nation acknowledged in a statement to Pollstar. “The new deal delivers greater profits to Live Nation and unites us with a world-class brand in delivering great food and service to our fans.”

No word yet on how the deal affects the bar revenue where those liquor licenses are pending. Amphitheatres are not included in the deal.
