Jamie Spears’ Christmas Bonus

It’s hard work being Britney Spears – but it’s also no piece of cake being her father. For his troubles, Jamie Spears just got a raise of about $75 an hour.

Spears had been receiving $10,000 a month since taking over his 27-year-old daughter’s affairs in February, but Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz increased his paycheck to approximately $16,000 per month and agreed to give him backpay.

Just in time for the holidays, Spears was awarded a $51,000 payout Dec. 22, reflecting the increase in his monthly payments since February.

He was also given an additional $1,200 monthly payment to cover the expense of maintaining an office. Goetz said the cost was justified by all he’s done getting Britney’s personal life and career back on top.

Britney heads out on tour in March, with dates on the books across the U.S. and at London’s O2 Arena through June.
