Earlier this month, Grammy Career day made stops in Miami at the University of Miami Frost School of Music (Jan. 6) and in Houston at the University of Houston (Jan. 8).

Upcoming dates include events at San Francisco State University (Jan. 14), Seattle Center (Jan. 16), USC Thornton School of Music in Los Angeles (Feb. 4), Overton High School in Memphis, Tenn. (Feb. 6), University of the District of Columbia in Washington D.C. (March 6), University of the Arts in Philadelphia (March 11) and Columbia College in Chicago (March 27).

The date and location for a Career Day in New York this spring will be announced soon.

The national program, presented by the Gibson Foundation in partnership with the Grammy Foundation, is now in its 21st year. The year’s program begin with events in late 2008 in Nashville (Oct. 28) and Atlanta (Nov. 6). Grammy Career Day events are free of charge and give high school students the opportunity to spend a day soaking up knowledge from those working in the music and recording industries.
