Jay debuted last year with A Place Where We Could Go with favorable reviews. He drops his second album, Slow Dance, in March and is heading to places like Brussels, Zurich, Paris, Barcelona and Madrid in February. Then it’s to the U.S., Australia, New Zealand and the U.K., but those dates are still secret.

Jay splits his time between Los Angeles and Paris, and his music has garnered some interesting descriptions. Spin matched him with Jonathan Richman ’50s slow dance favorites and “Hunky Dory-era” David Bowie. Flavorpill says Jay comes off like “Bryan Ferry singing bittersweet anthems to the discotheque’s post-4am stragglers.”
