On the itinerary is a special tribute to Athens legends R.E.M., March 11 at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Chesnutt, who has been on the road for the last two months, and Elf Power combined to release 2008’s Dark Developments, recorded in Chesnutt’s home studio.

Cities on the U.S. leg (Jan. 21 to Feb. 7) include Washington, D.C., Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Nashville and, appropriately, Athens.

The European leg starts March 14 at Dag In De Branding Festival in The Netherlands and includes Paris, Rome, London, Helsinki and more.

Also performing at the R.E.M. tribute will be Kimya Dawson, Ingrid Michaelson, Darius Rucker and Throwing Muses with Kristin Hersh.
