Killers On The Loose

The Killers are about to tour their third album in earnest.

Brandon Flowers and his compadres have received good reviews for Day & Age, with USA Today calling it an “arena-rock triumph” and the Los Angeles Times saying it’s a “melange of Roxy Music, saxophone pomp, roller-rink disco and jittery synth rave-ups.”

The sold-out house at Denver’s Fillmore Auditorium is magically transported to Sam’s Town by The Killers.

Oh, how quickly Sam’s Town fades from memory. The Killers toured their new material in the latter part of ’08, if sporadically, including their return to “Saturday Night Live.”

But the real deal starts April 16 at Dodge Theatre in Phoenix, followed the next night at the brand-new room at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas (although it retains the name of the old room, The Joint).

Other stops: San Jose, Seattle, Vancouver, Milwaukee, St. Louis and Cleveland, among others, before wrapping the final announced gig at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., May 9.
