50 Cent’s New Vision

The 50 Cent multimedia empire just got a little bigger with the recent announcement of a new filmmaking venture – Cheetah Vision.

The rapper previously acted in films including the semi-autobiographical “Get Rich or Die Tryin’,” and “Home of the Brave.” Now, he’s prepping to take on more roles in front of and behind the camera.

While promoting Cheetah Vision at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah, 50 Cent told Reuters that plans for “The Dance,” featuring 50 and Nicolas Cage, are in the works and his company has already purchased eight scripts.

“They are all different types of movies that I bought the rights to, and we’re developing projects,” he said. “You will see different things from me in the future.”

Despite the global economic crisis, the rapper, who’s got his hands in everything from clothing to soft drinks to condoms, told the news service he wasn’t concerned about the recession.

“I don’t think it will affect me as much as it will the other people that are out there because I’m not afraid to finance some of these things myself if I have to,” he said.
