Grammy Lineup Climbs

The Feb. 8 Grammy Awards show has some new performers – namely Paul McCartney (well, that’s standard Grammy fare) and Radiohead (seriously? That’s kind of cool).

T.I., Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, Lil’ Wayne, and Kanye also join in.

Paul McCartney opens up for his fans during the first night of the European leg of his Back In The World tour at Palais Omnisports Bercy in Paris.

McCartney is expected to perform with a special guest drummer, Dave Grohl. McCartney performed at the Grammys recently, rocking up “Helter Skelter” with his usual awesome drummer, Abe Laboriel Jr. Nothing says this appearance will be any less exciting, although a McCartney invite sure sounds like a Grammy way of doing things.

But Radiohead? This will be the band’s first U.S. television performance since 2000 and, although they’ve been lauded for more than a decade and rake in the bucks on tour, it still feels a little early for the Grammys to recognize them. What’s next, the up-and-coming Dave Matthews Band? Kudos to the Grammys for coming around to this one.

Radiohead bring their enigmatic musc to life at the Denver area’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

Meanwhile, T.I. and Justin Timberlake are slotted to perform together, and Jay-Z, Lil’ Wayne, T.I. and Kanye West are expected to perform their hit “Swagga Like Us.”

The artists join previously announced performers Kenny Chesney, Coldplay, Jennifer Hudson, Jonas Brothers, Lil’ Wayne, Katy Perry and Carrie Underwood – record sellers all.

Speaking of record sellers, who’s the next performer to be added? We suggest big-selling Taylor Swift.
