Thornton Returns
Paul Thornton, arguably the most recognizable name of Bravo Entertainment, has ended a non-compete agreement and is back in the promotion biz.
Thornton has started Silvertag Live, which will produce concerts and other live events in theatres, halls, arenas and amphitheatres, according to a statement. Silvertag will focus on the Northwest, just as Bravo Entertainment did.
The company merges Thornton’s TAG with Dramatic Entertainment, a Northwest-based film and TV production company.
A majority interest of Thornton’s Bravo Entertainment plus the company’s Big Easy concert halls was bought by Knitting Factory Entertainment in 2006.
Thornton left Bravo in 2007 and formed TAG – Thornton and Group – booking events like Jeep King of the Mountain Ski Cross and the BaseCamp Music Experience in Telluride, Colo.
