Mark Hunter was given a conditional discharge with a 12-mionth probation order by a Guelph, Ontario, judge Jan. 28, according to the Guelph Mercury. As may have been assumed by the reader, Mark reportedly has mental health issues.

Tommy said his son returned to home from work around 11:30 p.m. Oct. 17, and the two started arguing. Mark then allegedly shoved his father, who fell down, according to the Mercury. Tommy attempted to call 911 but Mark pulled the phone from the wall. A candlestick was thrown and Tommy eventually called police from the garage.

The courtroom heard testimony that Mark has a history of bipolar disorder, anxiety disorder and ADD, along with prescriptions for antidepressants, the paper reported.

“What concerts me is that he consumes a bit of alcohol on a daily basis,” Justice Norman Douglas reportedly said, noting Mark has cut back from 20 drinks per day to between six and eight.

“Mr. Hunter senior hopes his son gets the help he requires,” assistant Crown attorney Janine Hodgins said.
