The mutual love fest kicked off in sunny San Diego and rolls across the U.S. and Canada through the end of February.

Stops along the way include Stubb’s Bar-B-Q in Austin (Feb. 3), Black Cat in Washington, D.C. (Feb. 8), Middle East in Boston (Feb. 13), Schuba’s in Chicago (Feb. 17), Kilby Court in Salt Lake City (Feb. 21) and The Troubadour in Los Angeles (Feb. 28).

The Morning Benders will follow last year’s full-length debut, Talking Through Tin Cans, with a four-track EP, Grain of Salt, which is due Feb. 24. Fans who purchase the EP bundled on iTunes will get a bonus cut, an alternative version of the title track.

The Submarines will roll out one of two remix EPs on Feb. 17, with the first featuring remixes by AmpLive, Morgan Page, Alaska in Winter and Tone Tiger and the second sporting work by Ra Ra Riot, Wallpaper, Styrofoam and others.

To celebrate their live collaboration the Benders covered a track by the Subs. Not to be outdone, the Subs returned the favor. Click here to download “1940” and “Waiting for War.”
