Zeidman Tops At LA Live

Lee Zeidman, who runs Staples Center and Nokia Theatre L.A. Live, has a new feather in his cap.

Zeidman has been named GM of L.A. Live, the $2.5 billion development adjacent to Staples and the L.A. Convention Center. That means Zeidman will have oversight of Club Nokia, the Conga Room, Lucky Strike Lanes & Lounge and The Grammy Museum.

The entertainment district also includes Starbucks, Lawry’s and ESPN Zone plus restaurants and an ice-cream shop. Four restaurants are set to open this quarter, then a Regal Cineplex. The convention headquarters, which includes Ritz-Carlton and J.W. Marriott hotels plus luxury condos in a single tower, is expected to open in about a year.

“There is not a single individual in our industry who is better qualified to oversee all of the venues, and other attractions of L.A. Live, than Lee Zeidman,” AEG President Tim Leiweke said in a statement.

Zeidman’s job titles already included senior VP and GM of Staples and Nokia Theatre.
