Annie Lennox Looks Back

Singer/songwriter Annie Lennox is preparing to release her first career retrospective and has a slew of Stateside appearances planned to mark the occasion.

First up is a performance and interview with New York Times chief pop music critic Jon Pareles at “The New York Times Talk Live – An Evening with Annie Lennox.” The event will take place Feb. 10 at The Times Center in New York City. Tickets are $30 and are available here.

In her 26-year career, both as a member of Eurythmics and as a solo artist, Lennox has amassed sales of more than 78 million albums worldwide.

Next up are a handful of appearances on various talkers including “Good Morning America” (Feb. 10), “Live with Regis and Kelly” (Feb. 11) and “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” (Feb. 13).

The same night as the Leno appearance, the Grammy Museum at LA Live in downtown Los Angeles will host “An Evening with Annie Lennox.” The singer will perform songs from her catalog and participate in an audience Q&A session. Finally, a one hour 5-song performance and interview titled “A&E Television Private Sessions” will air March 8.

Spanning 15 years, The Annie Lennox Collection, which is due Feb. 17 and will also be available as a limited edition CD/DVD set, includes hits from the singer’s solo albums Diva, Medusa, Bare and Songs of Mass Destruction.

The disc also features two new tracks, “Pattern of My Life” and “Shining Light,” a song originally recorded in 2001 by Ash.
