Leave Britney Alone!
As with most things Britney, the details are a little strange. The former manager involved, Osama “Sam” Lutfi, has been accused (by Britney’s mom) of grinding pills into the singer’s food to gain control of her.
Britney’s camp claims Lutfi and Adnan Ghalib are trying to gain control of the Circus singer’s affairs. Also involved is attorney Jon Eardley, who allegedly once claimed to be Spears’ attorney and tried to get her conservatorship case moved to federal court.
Attorneys for Spears and Jamie Spears, her legal conservator and father, received the order Jan. 30 forbidding the three from having contact with Spears, her parents and her children. A hearing on whether to extend the order is scheduled for next month.
Court documents state Britney’s camp believes and has been informed that the three are “working in concert to disrupt the conservatorship, with an utter disregard for Ms. Spears’ health and well being.”
The order alleges Lutfi also sent “anonymous, harassing and threatening” messages to Spears’ father.
Jamie Spears wrote in a sworn declaration that he has found Lutfi’s phone number in Britney’s phone records.
The documents released Jan. 30 state that Britney continues to inform Ghalib of her travel “and that he then arranges for papparazzi to meet and film her to his financial benefit.”
An attorney for Jamie Spears said Lutfi and Ghalib have “disappeared” and private investigators have been unsuccessful in finding the pair for six weeks.
Spears was placed under the conservatorship a year ago and seems to have stabilized since her father took control of her affairs.
She is preparing for a major tour starting in March and running through the middle of June, at least for now.
