Livin’ The Country Star Life

One hundred country fans will have the chance to make their dreams come true by signing up for CMT Camp Nashville and living the life of a country music star for five days.

Campers will get to walk in the cowboy boots of a country star as well as hang out and perform with the artists they love including Phil Vassar, John Rich, Lady Antebellum, Ronnie Milsap, Bo Bice, Darryl Worley, Andy Griggs, Rhett Akins, Deana Carter, Jessica Harp and Henry Paul.

The camp takes place May 21-25 in Nashville, Tenn. While rock fans have Rock ’n’ Roll Fantasy Camp, country fans were left by the wayside until this year’s introduction of CMT Camp Nashville, the first multi-artist country music fantasy camp of its kind, according to a press release.

“This camp is not just for aspiring stars and those with talent. It is about giving one hundred everyday, ordinary country fans a chance to experience their ‘inner star.’ If all you can play is the cowbell, we invite you to attend and bring your bell,” Country Music Television’s Lance Smith said, according to a press release.

This camp experience may not come with hotdogs, s’mores and rounds of Capture the Flag, but it does include accommodations at the Hotel Indigo, along with roadies, stylists and tour managers. There’s also access to top rehearsal halls, private recording studio sessions, songwriting classes and vocal coaching by Renee Grant Williams, who has worked her magic on artists including Dixie Chicks, Faith Hill and Keith Urban.

Campers will also get to chill out at backstage parties at Nashville Palace and Nashville Cowboy and chow down on gourmet meals served by Shoney’s Catering.

Before campers say goodbye to the country music star lifestyle, they’ll have one last hurrah, or a Final Showdown, by performing as the opening act for Phil Vassar and Lady Antebellum at Nashville’s Wildhorse Saloon.

All of this can be yours in exchange for $8,500 or $7,999 if you’d prefer to make your own hotel accommodations. A spouse package is available for an additional $1000.

Tickets are available to the first one hundred campers on a first-come, first-service basis. The first 20 campers to sign up will win an autographed Gibson guitar. To purchase tickets and for more information head over to www.campnashville.com or call (615) 254-2315.
